Our Favourite 9 Beds with Storage Underneath

There’s nothing quite as divine as beds with storage underneath for small spaces. Or, you know, for those of us who just love to hold onto things.

Now, I’m not saying I’m ready for an episode of Hoarders, but I do like to collect and then rotate homewares every season. And so when the non-seasonal decor is away, I do need somewhere to store it. How good would one of these beds with storage underneath be for that? Or, also, for hiding purchases from your partner. What shopping? I never went shopping. Just stay away from the bed and nobody gets hurt.

The best part about this collection of beds with storage is that there are drawer and gas-lift options. And there are pros and cons to each.

With gas lift, you can have a teen tiny room and not have to worry about needing space around the bed to pull out drawers. The downside: some gas-lift frames can be heavy to get up. With drawers, you can certainly access them more easily, but you do need the room to pull them out.

This one has it all. Pop it in a teen room or grab it for yourself; it doesn’t discriminate. And just so much storage underneath.

3. Serenadey Storage Bed

Now, if you love a bed with a sense of strength and sophistication then you have your decision made. It’s gotta be the Serenade Storage Bed from King Living. It comes in your choice of fabric options and an ample storage compartment underneath. Expect it to be sturdy and long-lasting. Another super versatile option is this Dane Storage Bed from Life Interiors. Now, pay attention to the sale price above because it’s usually $1695. And if you’re reading this after the sale, sorry… but you gotta jump on these offers quickly. This bed features a soothing grey colour story which makes it feel rather calm. I love the pipe detail on the headboard. It gives it just enough interest while still staying true to its minimalist spirit. And get a load of the gas lift: that is one high riser!

5. Malm Bed with Storage Underneath, $414

We can’t leave out a classic like the Malm Storage Bed from IKEA. And with a price like that it certainly deserves our attention. Now, the fabulous thing about the Malm is that it comes in four colour options: white, oak, brown or black. So choose which one will work best in your bedroom and that’s the hard work taken care of. This is the first of the drawer options I’m showing you, and it should be noted that these drawers run right up to the headboard. That’s a lot of storage.

6. Emilio Upholstered Bed, $599

Currently on sale at Focus on Furniture is the gorgeous Emilio Bedframe. What I appreciate the most about this one is that the storage drawers are placed at the end of the bed. That means you never have to move a bedside table to access what you’ve put away. While there are two drawers inside, they’re attached to one front panel, which gives the bed a rather clean and uncluttered appearance. I’m also smitten with the tuft detail on the headboard.

7. Artiss Bed with Storage, $559.95

Myer has this divine Artiss Queen Bed on offer. And before we even get to the drawers, let’s appreciate the sophisticated shape, which is wonderfully traditional. In fact, it’s fair to say this is the most classic bed of the lot. And when it comes to the drawers at the end and sides of the bed, they’re certainly ample enough to store a lot of your fave treasures. And what a great price point too.

8. Jackson Upholstered Bed Frame, $799

Lucky last in my list is this clever design. The Jackson Upholstered Bed Frame ticks so many boxes. Storage drawers: check. Moody charcoal colourway: check. Headboard detail that feels modern but minimal: check. There’s so much to love about this design. And can we take in the styling here from the team at Forty Winks?
